Stone-Age Energy Production?


This may look like a Flintstone-family style energy production method.

And in universal terms, it probably is. But the simplicity and the polished crudeness fascinates me nonetheless.


William Skinner was an engineer and a workshop owner who came up with this machine that needs a little motor to revolve the mechanism, which amplifies the input by more than 10-fold.

The mechanism in the video is the 5th prototype, so there was some sort of evolution process.


If it doesn't make you excited, then rest assured that this is not the only mechanism that - although crude in its appearance and based on simple laws - might be just one of many ways to gain energy from the environment.


Oh, and if you wonder, where the energy comes from - it comes from the environment, just like a wind power station, or a water power generator, only with the "stuff you cannot see" or feel (unless you have special abilities) and the physical laws we think we know, have made all this possible, regardless if you and I understand them or not.
