More Recruiters?


Just a thought…

An uncertain job market. Many good people are unemployed.

- How come that companies look around for more recruiters?


More recruiters? - Does it mean more positions are open? Hardly.

What’s wrong with this picture?


Has it plain and simple just become harder to get an assignment? So that employers are trying by the nails to get decent people, but they need all the more people to assess the candidates?


The sheer amount of scrutiny that candidates need to go through for a position is staggering! One position, 5 interviews, personality/psychometric tests… Got the job? No. An automatic email - “Thanks but no thanks, but please take a look at our other positions”.


Why don’t you just make it more simple?

There's a bunch of good people that are looking for the next assignment (me being one of them)! The competition has never been more fierce, IMHO, and still - recruiters are what you need?


I say:

Cut to the chase.

And hey - Make Stuff Useful!

Even better: Make Staff useful.

Or probably best: Make Us Useful!
